We woke up this morning to snow and as soon as Lexi saw it she announced, "It's a snow day!!! Can I go out and play?" So I dug out the snow clothes, and Lexi and Javid played in the snow. It was all melted by 11:00 am.

Fun Day
Great day with the family Saturday! We went down to Logan and watched Austin play soccer which Lexi loved. But she had to leave her soccer ball in the car because, "If I take it out there someone will take it on the soccer field and I will lose it!" lol. After the game we went to Willow Park and ate McDonalds and went to the Willow Park Zoo. The kids loved it! Javid didn't ever want to let go of the fence though every time we moved from one place to another and about halfway through we discovered that if I told him to say bye to the animal he would let go and wave bye and it wasn't a fight to get him away every time. The kids had a great time!

My Niece!
Dustin and Alyssa had their adorable little girl yesterday morning, born on the 15th of May (barely missing Grandmas birthday by a few hours). Her name is Abby Lynn and she is adorable!!! She has a bunch of brown hair--more hair than Javid has actually. Javid and Lexi loved her! Lexi was so excited when we told her that Alyssa had her baby and that we were going to go see her. She got to hold her and kiss her forehead and then when we were leaving she told everbody, "My cousin needs to eat!". Javid was so excited to see her that just at the sight of her his little arms and legs just started flapping all over the place. Which is why he did not get to touch her... something he was not very happy about.
Abby is healthy and beautiful and everyone is doing great!
Happy Birthday Lexi!
Well, Saturday my little girl turned 3 years old! She was so excited, she's been telling everybody for weeks that her birthday is in May! lol. One of her biggest sources of excitement for this though was that now she's 3... Just like Evan! So we started the day off by me waking her up singing Happy Birthday, then her making me sing it to her 2 more times :)! When we came upstairs she found the living room floor covered in balloons, so while she ran through those I made her a breakfast I knew she would eat (there are very few things that are of any interest to her in the morning)... cottage cheese, and toast with chocolate peanut butter (nutella). At 2:00 she had her birthday party. She had a blast, opening her presents, doing a pinata, and of course cake and ice cream which her and all of her little friends ate on the trampoline! And she was convinced for about half the day that all of her presents were from Evan.
Me and Lexi and Hailey made party hats for all the kids

The Little Dancer!
So Lexi has been taking dance classes for the last couple months and loved it! She had her recital on Wednesday and well, she did more dancing than I did at my first recital! lol. She was great, especially considering the fact that they all sat in the gym and waited over an hour to start dancing. They warmed up some when they got close to the time they were supposed to start and Lexi paid pretty good attention to that, then she did some of the dance during the practice run... and made up some of her own moves. Then when they finally got to do the real thing... well she was very distracted.... But Cute! lol. She spent most of it either turned around or chewing on her arm (don't know why lol). But she had fun and was adorable! There is a video of it all on my facebook for anyone interested in seeing it.

What's Happening
In the spirit of keeping my goal and posting at least once a week how about I tell you all about what's been going on in our life the last few months!
Mike got a job at Alexander Company in Bancroft. For those who don't know, this is a milling company. They do oats and barley mostly. He started out as a bagger (basically general laboror) and within a couple weeks was told that he was going to get promoted to miller (basically the head guy on the shift). He has been working crazy hours, at the end of the second week of night shifts (worked 6-12 hour night shifts this week). He'll be back on days next week and I am so glad. Lexi will be glad too, she said the other night, "But I thought Dad was sleeping here tonight!" It is nice to have a decent paycheck though, and I'm sure that all of this will pay off and he will get to have a better schedule after all of this overtime.
Lexi is taking gymnastics still, though I haven't taken her the last couple weeks. And she is taking dance classes right now. She will be having her recital on Wednesday. I'm hoping that she has actually learned something, they don't let the parents stay and watch and when I ask her what she did at dance she usually starts kicking her foot and yelling, "1, 2, 3, 4!" LOL! But she loves it and is having fun so that's all that matters.
And little Javid... well he's walking now! And climbing! And getting stuck in things constantly! And by the way, I am the meanest mother in the world for not allowing him in the bathroom, on the stairs, and through the banister at my parents house! He has also become a major momma's boy... so I have had to come up with some interesting ways to entertain him so I can get stuff done. One day I put him in the tub with no water and was able to clean the whole bathroom before he got bored! It did help that Lexi thought it was cool too and came and joined him.
She's telling me not to take a picture... I didn't listen! :)
